City Branding of Kendal: Regional Imaging Strategy Through Logo and Tagline

This study aims to find and describe the image of area displayed through visual elements contained in Kendal reliable logo. City branding is one phenomena 21st century, which a strategic effort for regions increase competitiveness global competition. Several cities or regencies Indonesia have strong because they are made follow identity city that formed. uses qualitative method with logo tagline theory reveal its elements. Based on observations reviews Handal logo, it was found good been completed branding. Let's look back at history tree, origin name Kendal. The symbols each contain meaning local wisdom, including geography, history, culture. regional from logo's shape not something static, will, course, change according conditions. part existing dynamics represents geographical, historical, cultural conditions era.
